In digital design, coordinating different tools and technologies is a special combination of precision and creativity. Taking a predominantly digital approach, at Dezaın Studıo we have selected tools, each of which is an essential link in the chain of our workflow. The choice is based primarily on the capabilities of the individual tool, while taking into account how these tools complement each other to create an efficient yet progressive working process. From our experience of working with Notion and Slack also within our internal organisation, at Dezaın Studıo we have thoughtfully integrated each of them into the process with the client. From Notion's project management capabilities to Canva's versatile and simple creative environment for the client, the platforms ensure a smooth workflow, optimising the overall client experience, but how exactly?
Once a client has decided to access our services, the first task is to choose the most appropriate subscription plan, which is an essential step in tailoring our services to the individual needs of each company. Depending on factors such as the number of tasks to be performed simultaneously, the speed of development or user access, Dezaın Studıo has created three different subscriptions to support the development of the client's brand. The Stripe payment application, in turn, will help to ensure a smooth and secure payment process for accessing the Dezaın Studıo system.
After logging in, the client is welcomed into their personal digital workspace where the real work process begins. Our core project management platform Notion acts as a central system for all project-related activities. There you can easily track the progress of design tasks, access important project-related material and get involved in the design process by providing feedback.
We have customised the Notion client environment to allow clients to submit, manage and organise their work tasks. In order to better explain project management using different filters such as goal, format, priority or project, Dezaın Studıo offers to manage design tasks in three layers:
- First, the client submits a design task, say the design of a product packaging;
- This task can be included in a larger project, such as a new company product;
- Finally, the project can be incorporated into one of the company's objectives. In this case, it could be the objective of expanding the company's product range.
By complementing the profile with a company description, company objectives, notes or additional materials, the personalised profile will create an organised and systematic workspace for each client, allowing them to look back on the growth of the brand and Dezaın Studıo to get to know the client better with each task, delivering even more tailored results. This level of accessibility and oversight is, in our view, more than a function, as it is an essential part of building our lasting relationships with our clients.
We also understand the importance of effective communication in any collaborative environment. This is why we have integrated Slack into our workflow. Slack is a communication platform that enables online communication, allowing you to respond quickly and efficiently to any queries or send files. It's no coincidence that in our first blog post we highlighted Dezaın Studıo as an integrated design team within any client's company, as the communication flows similarly within each company, making us a member of the team. We believe that the initial interaction in these digital environments is essential to set the course for a successful collaboration. As we have already noted, the system is designed to be adaptable and flexible to the diverse needs of our customers. Notion allows you to personalise the project management experience according to your preferences. This customisation ensures that each client's working environment is individual, designed to reflect the specifics of each brand's development brief and business objectives.
Security is also crucial in digital interactions, especially in sensitive financial transactions. Stripe integration guarantees both convenience and protection, providing stability for us and our customers. With Stripe, a customer can manage their subscription by pausing or cancelling it at any time. Best of all, unused days until the end of the fee period (monthly or yearly) can be used at a later date, thus not losing the possibility to continue the project in the future.
Dezaın Studıo also highlights operational cooperation. The workflow ensures that first samples of design briefs are produced within the 3-5 days set, depending on the subscription plan, and regular updates are provided throughout the process. The client will be able to view the design samples in Notion, under the "completed" tab. By providing comments on the designs, our team will continue to work on improving them, so we have not limited the number of reviews. For the design itself, we use Figma, Adobe and Canva. Timely delivery combined with our collaborative approach ensures that our clients are not only the recipients of our designs, but also participants in the creative process.
